Fables and fairy tales are the starting point for this concert in which music tells the story. The program features Maurice Ravel’s masterpiece, The Mother Goose Suite, and excerpts from Prokofiev’s Cinderella, Tchaikovsky’s The Sleeping Beauty and the suite from Aladdin (based on Tales from the Arabian Nights) by Nielsen, to illustrate how composers interpret storylines, characters, themes, and moods and convey them through music.

If the weather permits, we will bring a brown bag lunch to enjoy on Wade Oval!  Please join us :)

Thank you!

Kim
