New Library Programs

Dear Homeschoolers!

You are awesome!!!!  Thank you all for your input regarding library programs.  The Reed Memorial Library will offer new library programs for homeschoolers!!!  Please join us for our very FIRST meeting:

"Join Children's Outreach Services Librarian Alison Dickerhoof at Reed Memorial Library for a homeschool gathering and learning day, "Homeschool at the Library". Starting in January, Reed Memorial Library will host one program a month just for local homeschool families with children ages 12 and under. (Older children are invited to attend, but because the programs are hosted by RML's Children's Department, the materials will be geared towards younger children.) Have fun participating in guided exploration of the library's resources on particular topics such as art, poetry, foreign language and classic literature. The programs will foster literacy skills and improve student ability to search for and use library materials.

Our first meeting will be Monday, January 26th from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Please come prepared to share your thoughts on what you'd like to see at the next program. If you have any questions at any time, please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to meeting everyone! - Alison Dickerhoof, Children's Outreach Services Librarian, Reed Memorial Library Ravenna, OH 44266 - 330-296-2827 x302 - Visit the library's website at"

Thank you again for sharing your thoughts and hope to see you there!!!!  Blessed to help shape our children's education and futures :)

Wishing all of you and your families a blessed Merry Christmas and an amazing Happy (educational) New Year!!

"And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise."  Deuteronomy 6:6-7

  1. Wonderful! Kent Free Library will have homeschool programs soon, too. :)
