Picnic at the Lavender Farm

Ohio Lavender Festival presented by DayBreak Lavender Farm

I am so happy Spring has finally SPRUNG!!!!  Let's enjoy a leisurely summer afternoon in the garden with a picnic lunch, hike, etc....Lavender is one of my favorite flowers, one of many!!!  I think scents make some flowers even more beautiful than their blooms?  A rose is not the same without its aroma, is it?

Sports Camp!!!

Hi All!

It is time to mark calendars if you are interested in CVC's Sports Camp!  It is the week of July 29th!  Last year one friend joined us and another one served :)  Looking forward to seeing more friends this year!  At CVC, Sports Camp is a ministry and is FREE with over 1,000 children participating and still growing!  There are two sessions offered 9AM - Noon and 6-9PM.  No one gets turned away.

Kids can choose from flag football, basketball, soccer, dance, art, martial arts, baseball, etc!!!  Football and baseball will be offered only during the evening session.  CVC offers a MOM's and a DAD's Camp, so the parents will be occupied and if coming from a distance not have to drive back and forth.  I volunteer every year, but hear the Mom's Camp is fantastic - some things they have done in the past - scrap booking, fitness, making a house a home and more.  The Dad's Camp I heard someone from Cerrie Cerino's came in to talk about grilling, etc...video of the high energy and enthusiasm:

If you are called to serve - they background screen ALL volunteers and they do want volunteers to be at several of the meetings before Sports Camp, so everyone knows what to expect, protocol, and planning (especially Art).  Meetings are on Sundays and food is always plentiful for you and your family!!!  All volunteers are also provided lunch or dinner everyday at Sports Camp!

This is such a rewarding experience and a great ministry!  Testimony of God working in the hearts of children and parents during Sports Camp:

I am so excited and blessed to be able to serve every year and hope to see you there!  I ask that you pray about joining us or volunteering!!!  Did I mention the awesome Friday Night Family Celebration?  Thousands of hamburgers, hotdogs, sno-cones, cotton candy, etc, bounce houses, rock wall, games, prizes, etc.  Last year they added a photo booth area, looked like great FUN!!!!
