Christmas Caroling

Dear Homeschoolers!

It is never too early to begin thinking about Christmas and giving to others.  Join us as we visit a nursing home and sing Christmas carols to their residents.

We will be visiting Heather Knoll Retirement Village.  I spoke to the Activities Director and expressed an interest in doing something for the residents, in addition to singing Christmas carols.  She mentioned that food is not good to bring in since there are so many dietary restrictions.  We are able to make Christmas cards for the residents, which would be a great craft to do with our children!  Heather Knoll has between 85-100 residents in their four wings.

Date:  Tuesday, December 10, 2013

Time: 3:00 - 4:30PM

Address:  Heather Knoll Retirement Village, 1134 North Avenue, Tallmadge, OH

The sooner we get a group together, the better prepared the children will be singing the carols.  Please email me if you would like to join us at, the more the merrier!  I will email the Christmas carols we will be singing and other details as well, such as a card making party & more!  Thank you :)  Kim

The Art House - FREE Family Art Workshops!

Have you been to The Art House?  We finally went this past Saturday!  What a great time, the kids had a great time getting creative!  The Art House offers a FREE Family Art Workshop the 3rd Saturday of every month.  We went for their clay/ceramic class.  We were taught how to make a pinch pot.  For ONLY $2, we purchased 3 lbs of clay, and in the two hours we were there, we did not use all of it!  The kids had a BLAST painting their creations with the various glazes.  We cannot wait to see how everything we made turned out after firing :)

Here is their information:

Address:  The Art House, 3119 Denison Avenue, Cleveland

Time:  Free Workshops, 1-3PM Third Saturday

Please visit their website for the theme/topic of the month:
